In the local elections this year, not one but TWO of our journalists have gained (local) sufferage, on the basis of having lived in Oslo for more than three years. Oslo kommune clearly doesn’t know what it’s getting itself into. Our reporter and technician Philipp Gehardy—who has for a long time thought of himself as “a foreigner who is visiting Norway on a somewhat permanent basis”—is finally going to have his voice heard on September 12, and he takes us along on his journey towards his first Norwegian election. We also have a chat with a political scientist who is legally allowed to vote in four different countries on two separate continents.
